Essential Aspects
of our Work Capacity Assessment Systems:
- CRITERION
REFERENCED. Criterion referenced tests use
objective standards and the individual is required to demonstrate abilities
of a particular or general vocational level. That is why criterion referenced
testing typically do a better job of identifying Work Capacity abilities then
norm referenced testing. Test results on all our systems indicate what individuals
can do in the domain or field of “Work”. They measure capacities
to (successfully) meet predetermined work related objectives.
- FUNCTIONAL
SKILL APPROACH. Performance criteria are specified and indicate
skills that are significant and functional as they are based on the skills
required “on the job”.
- MULTI-DIMENSIONAL.
Test results are based on multiple interactive Cognitive,
Physical, Mental and Adaptive Characteristics of the individual, as it is
in the real life of work.
- WORK
SIMULATION. The content of all our systems
represents the vocational domain. Test tasks are practical, meaningful and
structured. All tasks have a beginning and an end. Administration criteria
are clear defined and objective.

CAPACITY RELATED
- To indicate
the general or specific Work Capacities of an individual.
- To define the
content of work hardening programs.
THERAPY RELATED
- To diagnose (eventual)
interventions or treatments for “return to work”.
- To document
results of interventions or treatments.
INSURANCE RELATED
- As part of a
decision making process to determine the level of impairment or disability.
All our products (manuals,
written and verbal instructions, reports) are available in the English, German
and Dutch language (the Ergos Work Simulator also in the French and Spanish
language) and can be made available in other languages.
